Entry Decision Criteria

The entry decision criteria are going to keep changing. In the future, customers should be able to determine their entry decisions. For the MVP, all the entry criteria are not customizable and will be the same for all facilities. Because of this, Temp Tracker is going to error on the side of caution with the entry criteria and make it more difficult to enter. If an entrant is denied entry, a manager override button will be available on the page telling the entrant that they are denied entry. This will enable customers to make their own decisions. It is expected that the facilities will instruct their managers on the criteria to allow a manager override and record entry of an individual.

There are three entry statuses that are included. They are:

  1. No Symptoms = No indication of illness reported. Facility entry permitted.

  2. Override = One or more indicators of potential illness reported. Facility entry permitted with manager approval.

  3. Denied Entry = One or more indicators of potential illness reported. Facility entry denied.

Upon entry, the status of the entrant will INITIALLY either fall into either No Symptoms or Denied Entry.

  1. The status of the entrant is listed as ’No Symptoms' if he or she has responded ‘NO’ to all questions and their temperature is less than 100.4.

  2. The status will be listed as Denied Entry if he or she has at least one symptom recorded or if their temperature is 100.4 or higher.

If the entrant INITIALLY has a temperature of 100.4 or higher, their temperature should be measured again and if it falls below 100.4, the temperature taker can enter the second number and click the ‘Check Temperature Twice’ button on the temperature page. This will allow the entrant to enter the facility but the person will be listed as Override.

If a person is initially denied entry, a manager must click the ‘Manager Override’ button and list the reason for allowing the person to enter. The person will be granted entry and the status will be listed as Override.

The last possibility is when the entrant is previously marked as having COVID-19 and goes through the screening. The message will remain Denied Entry until the person’s profile is cleared of confirmed covid.
